What is RTLS?

Real-Time Location Systems (RTLS) using Bluetooth® Low Energy permits to track assets and people indoors.

Bluetooth® based solutions typically use either signal strength (RSSI) measurements or more advanced Angle of Arrival/Departure (AoA/AoD) approaches to determine position.


Bluetooth® LE stands out for its minimal power requirements and compatibility with existing infrastructure reducing the cost of RTLS implementations.
We already minimized battery use in all our solutions. Therefore, technology choice resumes in the accuracy you need.

PRESENCE DETECTION


Presence detection offers the most straightforward approach to Bluetooth LE positioning. With room-level accuracy of approximately 5 meters, this method excels at basic monitoring tasks.


PROXIMITY POSITIONING


In addition to room-level accuracy, detect assets presence in close and specific zones. Implementation requires an anchor (tag with large battery capacity) and a specialized filtering algorithms compensate for signal strength fluctuations.

ACCURATE POSITIONING


BLINQY offers a Quuppa Emulation Pro solutions using direction finding with multi-antenna receivers to achieve sub-meter accuracy, typically 0.3  to 1 meter.
